So in my last post, I mentioned that Pronoun was shutting down and, as a result, my books were temporarily unavailable in a variety of formats as I searched for another outlet with which to distribute my work. Through it all, my work was still up on Amazon, because I go directly through KDP when publishing for Kindle.
Well, I went with Draft2Digital, a company similar to Pronoun that publishes to most of the same formats (not Google Play at this time, but if/when that changes, I’ll put my books up there too) — and a few outlets I’ve never heard of.
So now, for the most part, my books are now available in a variety of digital formats.
As of this blog post, Bounty, Blood Ties, Behind the Badge and Notna are now available on iBooks, Nook, Kobo, Scribd, 24 Symbols, Indigo, and Angus & Robertson — in addition to Kindle and paperback.
In addition, Behind the Mask is available for pre-order on Kindle, iBooks, Nook, Kobo, and Angus & Robertson.
In the future (unless Draft2Digital goes the way of Pronoun), I’ll be using that outlet for my digital distribution outside of Amazon. The plan is to continue providing my books in multiple formats, including paperback, on multiple outlets in an effort to make my work available to as many people as possible.
Let’s just hope this one sticks for a while. Re-publishing takes time away from writing new ones.
My latest release, Notna, is available on Amazon and other digital outlets. Also, Behind the Mask, the fourth book in the Jill Andersen series, is live for pre-order and will be on digital shelves on Dec. 4.
If you send Google a note through this handy dandy contact form they’ll invite you to apply to publish directly on Google Play and shortly after you should get an invite to create a publisher account. Their publishing interface is a pain in the rear though – I’m in the process of putting all the stuff I had up with Pronoun up there one book at a time.
